The Department of Post is started process to introduce medical facilities to the Gramin Dak Sevaks on the lines of Rashtriya Swastha Bhima Yojana formulated by Ministry of Labour and Employment.
This scheme is likely to be introduced shortly after its active examination by Integrated Finance Wing and subject to the approval of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure at the cost of Rs.7.29 crores from Govt. side.
A Nodal Officer in the Circle of the rank of DPS will hold the responsibility to implement the scheme.
In all the Circles, the details of regularly engaged GDS completing one year's service as on 01-05-2013 and the details of their family members (4) (beneficiaries) are to be collected in each division & the data has to be kept for district-wise.
It is proposed to collect the data from the regularly engaged each GDS in Annexure - IV by 15-06-2013. And the required district wise data as on 01-05-2013 will reach Directorate by 30th June 2013.
All the Circle Secretaries and CHQ office bearers are requested to ensure that the process of collecting data from the GDS is going on in all the divisions and found any communication lacune, immediately approach the Chief Post Master General for prompt implementation of the orders of the Directorate.
Further requesting to inform all the divisional & branch secretaries to involve in the enrollment of GDS in their respective divsions.

NORTHERN ZONE STUDY CAMP POSTPONED
As Com. Giriraj Singh,
General Secretary, R3 CHQ & President, NFPE, Com. R. N. Parashar (Asst.
Secretary General, NFPE), Com. Virender Tiwari, General Secretary, AIPSBCOEA,
Com. Vikram Sahah, Asst. General Secretary, P4 & Circle Secretary, P4, UP
and other leaders of U.P met with a major road accident while returning from
Gonda (UP) after attending R-3 Circle Conference and some of the leaders
including Com. Parashar are admitted to hospital for fracture surgery.
It is decided
to POSTPONE THE NORTHEN ZONE STUDY CAMP SCHEDULED TO BE HELD AT GHAZIABAD
ON 22nd & 23rd JUNE 2013.
